Adobe has discovered the compatibility issues listed below with running Photoshop CC 2015 with Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan).
Re: Photoshop CS5 for MAC After some research I found out that my 24' iMAC is a iMac6,1 model, from early 2007. It accepts 4 gig of RAM but the system can only full address 3 gig and this is what Apple recommends. More consumer-oriented than Aperture, and simpler to use than Photoshop Elements, iPhoto for Mac is the hub of Appleās iLife suite. With iPhoto, you can add special effects to images, correct. So basically 'Photoshop CS5 for Mac' is not compatible with Mac. I contacted Apple customer support and talked to a helpful technician who basically had to go on to Adobe's site and forum boards (where this is apparently a very common problem).
We recommend that customers do their own testing on a non-production partition to ensure that new operating systems work with their current hardware and drivers.
